Yosemite National Park

Of all America’s national parks, Yosemite is possibly the most photogenic of them all. Although the park takes in over three quarters of a million acres, 95% of which is designated as wilderness, most of the familiar sights are concentrated into the seven square miles of Yosemite Valley. It boasts an impressive lineup of imposing granite features, such as El Capitan, Half Dome and Cathedral Rocks, as well as forest, waterfalls, the roaring Merced river and beautiful expansive meadows. One well-known viewpoint, Tunnel View, takes in most of these in one breathtaking composition. Most notably captured by the great Ansel Adams, this place is a playground for photographers and offers a natural grandeur as impressive as anywhere else on the planet.
