Las Vegas

Las Vegas is a city that surely needs no introduction. With a population that has expanded from approximately 1,000 a hundred years ago, to well over half a million, it is quite ironic that the city’s name translates to “The Meadows”. Introduced by its famous “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada” sign, the city is ostentatious and flamboyant in every way and fulfils its brief as a globally-renowned resort for gambling, shopping and entertainment. Fake and contrived it may be, but there is surely nowhere else that can offer an Egyptian pyramid, the skyline of New York, the Eiffel Tower and an Italian lakeside all in the same place!
